ABOUT THESPIAN SOCIETY
Thespian Society is an amalgamation of love for the craft, passion for teaching, and a distinctive vision that aims to build a strong platform for budding enthusiasts. We essentially cater to the needs of many aspiring and existing actors who require the right kind of guidance and look to nurture the potential of numerous kids and adults with a simple desire to flourish their personality.
Its a concept that aims to be unique by not just being an acting academy for amateurs looking to become professionals but also aims at introducing non actors to a technique that builds their confidence in a holistic way facilitated by dramatics. As aspiring actors we have all at one point faced the big question, HOW am I going to be what I want to be, WHICH PATH is it that I'm required to take? We at thespian aim at inculcating the ability in you to find the means to the end. Being equipped with a team of experienced faculty, stalwarts of the field and regular guest lecturers, we promise to deliver not only proficiency in the art but also counsel and consult based on your individualistic needs.
ABOUT RAJ UPADHYAY
Raj Upadhyay is a governing council board member at the Ministry of Art and Culture's Children Academy, Delhi Govt. He is a noted actor, child drama expert, director and acting teacher in India . He contributed immensely to the CBSE board in designing the syllabus for Theatre. He has also produced and directed one of the most popular radio serials, 'Vishwa Katha Collage' for All India Radio, Delhi. A philosophy graduate from the University of Allahabad, he holds a Post Graduate degree in History from Himachal Pradesh University. Nurturing his passion for theatre, he consequently undertook training in theatre from Bhartendu Academy of Dramatic Arts, Lucknow.
He has been successfully organizing theater productions and workshops in schools and colleges across Delhi, and in other parts of India and currently he is a Managing Committee Board member at Modern School, Barakhamba Road, since 2016 to 2019 as well.
